關於本電子書

"This collection of theological and other essays, put together by Fr. Ilo and his team, is a refreshing publication by a new and second generation of African Catholic theologians. It is characterized by a rich inclusiveness of clergy, reli-gious, and laity; men and women; young and not so young. The diversity of contents reflects the complexity of the contemporary African church environment. I hope that the conversation will be further extended beyond our Catho-lic community to other Christians--and indeed to other believers." --John Cardinal Onaiyekan, Archbishop Emeritus, Abuja Archdiocese, Nigeria "This book is a collection of essays by a new generation of African Catholic scholars who seek to re-examine and reposition the church in Africa for the future, a future that can and must prepare to confront a range of challenges in the world. The church in Africa owes our new generation of theologians grati-tude for their dedication and sacrifice." --Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Nigeria "The church in Africa has witnessed fundamental transformations since the end of Vatican II and the formation of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) some fifty years ago. Faith in Action is indeed a remarkable and thoughtful evaluation by African theologians of the develop-ments in the church in Africa since these epochal events. This is an impressive volume and an indispensable companion for anyone wanting to understand the trajectory of the church in Africa in the last fifty years." --Hyacinth Ichoku, Vice-Chancellor, Veritas University, Abuja, Nigeria "The contributors to these volumes have given the church in Africa and world Christianity an important work of scholarship and delight. Built on the theme of 'Faith in Action, ' this book reveals the debates and ongoing dialogue in Afri-can theology on the role of faith in shaping the future of Africa. These essays call all church scholars and pastoral agents to work together for an African Catholicism which is identified with prophetic renewal, in theological, pastoral, and social fields, for the men and women of today and tomorrow in Africa and beyond." --Nathanael Yaovi Soede, Executive President of the Association of African Theologians
