This is the first book I've read/listened to by Piper Rayne. I LOVED IT. It is a well written sport romance with easy to like characters. It's a great tease to what is coming! I usually do not enjoy prequels, but this one completely drew me in. I'm invested. I cannot wait to read/listen to YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE, LEE BURROWS, a sports/second chance romance trope. Callie Dalton and Joe Arden are excellent narrators! Top of my list of favorites! I love the sound of their voices. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances. It rolled like a movie in my head. Perfection. I completely enjoyed this duet performance! Thank you Piper Rayne, Blue Nose Audio, and Valentine PR for the audiobook. This is my voluntary and honest review.

False Start by Rayne is the prequel to the Kingsman Football Stars Series This introduction to Lee Burrows packs quite the punch. Lee is the star quarter back, and Shayna is the lucky girl that had to tutor him so he can continue to play the Game. The story is sweet, sassy, with some some drama due to immature college boys. But, it’s set up perfectly for You Had Your Chance Lee Borrows. The narrators Callie Dalton and Joe Arden did a good job with the story, characters and kept me engaged

I recommend reading this prequel story to You Had Your Chance Lee Burrows before reading the book itself because it gives a lot of background to Shayna and Lee's history and what happened eight years ago. I adored Lee and Shayna’s backstory in college where she is his tutor and he makes a bet with his friends about her. He’s only trying to keep her away from his roommate, but that backfired spectacularly! Callie Dalton and Joe Arden did a great job narrating this story.
