couldn't finish the book. Mari annoyed me with her thoughts and constant repeat. She left San Francisco 2 years ago, or was rather exiled from her parents for bad publicity and making their name look bad. she doesn't go into detail about what she did exactly but she constantly brings it up. you get more from her pov than oliver.

Solid 3.5 star This was a good read however I couldn't quiet connect with the characters, I'm not sure as there was the side story of Pierce and Katy or just that I didn't feel the real connection between Oliver and Mari. In saying that it was still a good read with enjoyable characters and sweet story and left me wanting to read the next book especially to find out what is going on or went on in the past between Pierce and Katy. The author has taken us back to Pelican Bay to spend some time with our friends, and meet some new ones. Pierce Kensington is not well liked in town and convinces Mari to pretend to be his fiancee for six months and help him with the townspeople.
