Es ist Faschingsdienstag in München. Kommissar Wengler will diesen Tag gemütlich mit ein paar Freunden bei einem Glas Bier ausklingen lassen. Aber zunächst macht er noch Halt auf dem Viktualienmarkt, um dort dem Faschingstreiben zuzusehen. Und es kommt wieder alles anders als geplant: Wengler wird von einem Mann in Frauenkleidern um Hilfe gebeten. Es ist Fasching, also erstaunt die Verkleidung nicht. Doch dann findet man in der Wohnung des Fremden einen Toten. Und auch die Aufmachung des Fremden war kein Zufall. Das bedeutet für Kommissar Wengler, in ein Milieu einzutauchen, von dem er sich nicht einmal hatte vorstellen können, es auf seine alten Tage noch kennenzulernen...
