Abstract: A U.S. congressional report provides information about and summaries of federal programs that serve children in the areas of income maintenance, nutrition, social services, education and training, health, housing, and taxation. Each summary includes the program's legislative authority; local, state, and federal agencies that administer the program; a brief program description; data on child participation; and 1981-83 fiscal year funding levels.
