Ms. Brandon writes some of my favorite dark romances, hello Jared, but this one felt more light grey to me. Honestly, I'm not complaining because it still had the power dynamic relationship and all the heat, but Sebastian is quite patient with Rebecca. He's been ordered to marry by his late father. She's trying to escape her father and brother. There isn't a lot of outside danger, but there's still angst and a battle of wills, which Rebecca loses over and over again. Even with the discipline elements it seemed to be more gentle. Sebastion is, as I said before, patient and willing to talk more than just order. I really enjoyed that part of their relationship. Even though this was something different, I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next one.
