This was a bit different that the previous five books. I really enjoyed it, and the detour was nice. Owen was a demon hunter from a long family line of demon hunters and Cait is a hellcat. It almost goes without saying that that particular pairing is explosive and oh so much fun. I think my favorite part about Owen was how much of a geek he was in it came to supernatural species. Just an information sponge that one. Definitely a unique but fun character quirk. Cait was feisty and that of course leads to plenty of fun. They were a good pairing and by the end I was very happy for the both of them. They are better for having found one another. Another great book Mrs. Heaton! Looking forward to the next! If you like action, shifters, magic, and steamy romance, this book is for you. You don't HAVE to read the previous 5 to enjoy this, but you should for the fun of it. We did contact a few previously met characters, which is always a fun time.

Another great instalment in Felicity Heaton's Eternal Mates series. This book a shorter than some of the others in the series but still packs plenty of action in. Owen, a mortal hunter. The last of a famous family of hunters, helps Cait, a super rare hellcat shifter, out of a sticky situation and is eventually hired by her to rid her of a persistent and dangerous hellcat on her tail (pardon the pun lol), they also have to deal with a strong attraction to each other. Owen's character intrigued me when he was introduced earlier in the series and I was looking forward to his story. This didn't disappoint. He was a great character with lots of hidden depths that kept you guessing. Cait was equally great and a strong heroine. There was also some old faces from the series and we were introduced to some more intriguing characters that I'm sure will feature further on in the series. There was lots of action and romance in this story. The writing was great as with all of Felicity Heaton's books. As I said before the story was well developed for a reasonably short book. This is part of a series but it could easily be read as a standalone imo. Recommended
