Like all the characters in this book that knew the victim, I agree that he was a scumbag, a jerk and other assorted descriptive words, but he was a human being that was murdered. He is a victim that you love to hate, as well as some of the suspects. I really like the way JD brings back to this book characters that we've met in previous stories... little rememberances. I won't give any clues, but the ending is just! As I read this in December, Merry Christmas to me. Merry Christmas to Eve Dallas and family. ♥️🎄

I think this book is the perfect platform for Eve and Roarke to start seriously talking about starting a family. Given the dynamics between these two, Eve should have triplets for her first time pregnancy. This would be not only humorous, given how she feels about female things, but force her to be female, in a most positive way. I love this entire series and look for to it continuing.

I had high hopes for Festive In Death, but it's yet another regression in the writing of JD Robb/Nora Roberts. It did not hold my attention and, having read every other book in the series, I'm leaning toward the ghostwriting theory--more's the pity. Of you want to experience true, enjoyable JD Robb (before she started phoning it in), read any book before Salvation in Death.
