I had high hopes for Festive In Death, but it's yet another regression in the writing of JD Robb/Nora Roberts. It did not hold my attention and, having read every other book in the series, I'm leaning toward the ghostwriting theory--more's the pity. Of you want to experience true, enjoyable JD Robb (before she started phoning it in), read any book before Salvation in Death.

As with all her books, this one was awesome. Loved the more personal narrative. Why didn't she give her whole team coats? It would have been great to see what she would have gotten the rest for Christmas. I would love to see the group on a team building seminar, like a camping trip. Maybe a hostage situation. Also some points of view from Peabody, Rorake, and maybe even Summerset. Keep plucking those keys, I'll keep reading! If cops don't make much money, how are most of them fashion plates?

Another great episode in the lives of Eve and Roarke. 🎁Her struggles with shopping put a great spin on 🎄. Then there are the psychological reasons Roarke loves playing 🎅! Tie in murder, a 🎉🍸party where maybe Mavis 🎤and Li 🎷,while others spend time socializing over the buffets or on the dance floor!!
