A Fijian Diwali is the story of a young boy who travels to Fiji from Australia to celebrate Diwali with his family. On the night of Diwali, when faced with a challenging situation, the young boy shows the spirit of Diwali through kindness and courage.
Acerca do autor
Salvin Kumar was born and raised in Vitogo Village, Lautoka, Fiji. He moved to Australia in 2013 and has since worked as a warehouse assistant, a teacher, and a social worker.
A Fijian Diwali is his third children’s book.
Salvin hopes that through the Fiji-Baat books, children will feel more connected to their own communities and help the world see the beauty of multiculturalism.
