Ratings and reviews

I've enjoyed many of Lorana Hoopes' books, but this is my favorite! There's action, romance, danger, mystery, camaraderie, and suspense. Ms. Hoopes blends all those elements together into one fantastic read. I liked the well-developed main characters and the fact that the firefighter in the story is the woman. The plot has twists and turns that made me keep swiping pages until almost midnight. There's a great HEA. I look forward to reading more from this author. I recommend this to readers of clean/wholesome romance, to Christian romance readers, and to readers of romantic suspense. I got my copy through KU.

I liked the character development. The faith element was there but not overbearing. There was just enough to keep you guessing as to who the stalker may be. It seemed to develop pretty quickly and move on. I'm ready for book 2 of the series!

It was a little corny in humor but fantastic in its plot and twists and turns. A great read.

About the author

Best selling author Lorana Hoopes is the author of both Christian romances and Children's early readers. She is originally from Texas but now lives in the PNW with her husband and three kids. Many of her books are set in Texas, close to her roots, and her Wishing Stone books are based on her three children. 

Her Wishing Stone books have been picked up by several schools and used as a summer reading book. They employ a glossary of challenging words and a resource list at the end so children can do additional research. She will be adding a Christian line to the Wishing Stone series soon. 

She has several contemporary romance series spanning women's fiction, small towns, football players, and billionaires.  She also has a speculative fiction series and a romantic suspense series.
