I would have to agree with another review of this book about it being comprehensive. It gives a great overview so your not bogged down in the telling about the time during which Josephus lived and before his time, since he of course wrote down some of the oral histories given to him by others.

A great reference to what was going on in the life of the Jews between Malichi and Matthew of the New testament and how all things has come together. A must for any biblical scholar.
