He got out his "Hemp Handbook" that he had studied from his first attempt to cultivate the hemp plant. Then after reading a bit about it he thought "Let's do it!"Tony tried a hundred grams of his best buds for the first experiment. Tony knew that most of the hash oil on the market was a greenish black, smelt strong and contained a lot of unusable substances like chlorophyll and carbohydrates that had not been removed by the crude solvent method. He knew that if he could produce clear golden oil like the stuff he had seen in Amsterdam a few years ago then he would earn a fortune.Tony got the equipment working and was delighted to see the solvent boiling at around 55 to 60 Centigrade and the paraffin ether dripping into the filter paper. He watched the white fumes condense in the cooler and drip into the tube. It took him three hours to leach out a hundred grams of black liquid a solution of paraffin ether, resin, wax, canniniboids, chlorophyll, carbohydrates and other substances. He distilled the mixture twice more to obtain one and a half litres of hash oil from it. But the liquid was still too dark. He mixed the solution with aluminium oxide and half a litre of solvent. The chromatography filtered out the undesirable substance and he was happy to see clear, golden oil dripping into a glass retort. By the time Tony had finished distilling and distilling again he had produced a substance that was almost clear like water and contained no THC. Tony wondered why sick humans wanted hash oil that didn't have the psychotropic effect but personally he believed that THC was beneficial in many ways especially as stress was a major cause of disease. He regarded being "high" as a state of enlightenment and believed that the paranoia that people were so afraid of was partly due to in cannabis being illegal.
