Fortune's Family Secrets by Karen Rose Smith Cassie Calloway owns a inn, Nash Tremont is staying at the inn. He is there to find out information about his family the Fortunes he is an undercover cop. I really enjoyed the interactions between Cassie and Nash. They slowly fall in love with each other. they both keep secrets that cause the other one pain but they work through them all and end up happily ever after. i really enjoyed the book and would recommend to anyone looking for a good book to read.

This is the first Fortunes book I have read in some time and amazes the that even with multiple authors the stories blend well. Karen Rose Smith is one of my favorite cozy authors so I couldn't resist when I discovered that she had written a book in a romance series that I have long followed. This one does not have a major issue wrapped up in a single books, something a fan of the series knows to be prepared for but I was a little disappointed in how vague Nash's investigation was. I was NOT, and never have been, disappointed in the romance or the fantastic characters in this book. It is great characters that I read for that that is one of Ms. Smith's specialties. Fortune's Family Secrets have made me want to find the other books in this subseries and maybe even go back to old friends. I received a copy of the book from the author, yes in a randomized contest, and I was so excited. Thank you Karen Rose Smith for not only presenting me with new characters to love, but bring back memories of other books read and loved.
