About this ebook

Sara Crewe's young but doting father sends her to a London boarding school when she is seven. On her eleventh birthday her life of luxury comes to an abrupt end when she receives news that her father has died, shortly after losing his entire fortune. The school-mistress turns Sara into a servant to pay off her debts, and though Sara uses the entire force of her imagination and her good heart to remember who she is and keep starvation from the door, her life is desperate. Until the past returns in a very unexpected manner...

Ive bought the book in person and just decided to review it. As a 15 yr old I found it possibly as a new favourite. I couldn't stop reading to the point I read half the book in the first day. Personally I haven't had any trouble with the level of English. It's a great story I really recommend it but don't want to spoil so you could read the blurb at the back.

I loved the book! If you are reading this, even if you are a boy, you have got to read this book. It shows how Sara is a girl who starts out rich and ends a maid. Read this book to find out just how Sara gets through her hard life.

I've loved this story since I was a little girl! This is a well written classic. However, I wouldn't bother wasting my money pruchasing the book since it's available via the Gutenberg Project because it is a classic.
