One among scores of books on the Maid written at the end of the nineteenth century, following the thorough research of Jules Quicherat on the matter. Undoubtedly an excellent book, well documented; Lowell has gone through the original sources and chronicles, and cites precisely some of them when necessary. Moreover you can find an interesting work on the character of Charles VII at the end.
