The Spartans were almost certainly not the heroes this story makes them out to be, nor did the Persians have a monopoly on tyranny or mysticism. Lots of historical details intentionally misrepresented to give the story the right moral spin.

I enjoyed reading this comic it was very macho and admiring to see how strength courage and leadership is storied here. If you love the film you will definitely enjoy this one.

Masterpiece... not meant to be historically accurate. Miller pulls inspiration from many books he acknowledges at the end.
