Marichen van der Westhuizen has a D Phil in Social Work. She worked as a social worker for 15 years. She is currently working at Hugenote College, Wellington as a programme coordinator and social researcher. Recent research projects focused on intercultural work, the arts as a non-verbal communication method in Social Work, poverty alleviation, persons with disabilities, substance abuse, and community development practice. Thomas Greuel (Germany) studied music, educational science and music education at universities in Cologne and Frankfurt. He has a D Phil in Music Education and worked as music teacher in different types of schools as well as researcher and lecturer at the University of Cologne. Since 2009 professor for music education at the University of Applied Sciences at the Evangelische Hochschule in Bochum / Germany. He focusses on elementary music education and community music. Christo Thesnaar is currently associate professor in the Department of Practical Theology and Missiology at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His specialization in Practical Theology is in the sub-discipline of pastoral care and counselling. He has a particular interest in research from a transdisciplinary approach on the broad theme of reconciliation. He has a close relationship with the Jena Centre for Reconciliation. He is the founding member and councillor of “The Institute for the Healing of Memories” in South Africa.
