Und die waren zumindest so begehrt wie schöne Frauen, wenn nicht noch mehr. Denn jetzt nach dem Krieg war das Südstaatengeld nichts mehr wert.
Ich hatte die Frau von der Bar aus immerzu beobachtet. Doch das taten fast alle Männer im Saloon, die hier die ganze Nacht auf die Weiterfahrt der River Bee hinunter nach New Orleans warteten.
