About the author

David Cooley is a writer based in Melbourne, Australia. First and foremost a daydreamer, David's love of imaginary realms began in childhood, as he listened to his favourite record, 'Puff, The Magic Dragon.' It wasn't long before David lost himself in picture books, fairy tales, comic books and novels of all kinds. Gecko & Macoote first appeared in a daydream. Now, they're ready to share their friendship and zest for life with the world. When not daydreaming away the day, David is a personal trainer and fitness instructor.

Paul Smith is an illustrator and graphic designer born and bred in Melbourne, Australia. Paul's boyhood obsession with comic books and superheroes evolved into a young mans passion for graphic design and illustration. Paul intends to bring smiles to faces as well as thoughts to minds through his work. Colourful and vibrant, 'Gecko & Macoote' is his first book, and a very cuddly one at that.
