‘Colossal, staggering . . . one of the greats’ SFX

The Starks are scattered.

Robb Stark may be King in the North, but he must bend to the will of the old tyrant Walder Frey if he is to hold his crown. And while his youngest sister, Arya, has escaped the clutches of the depraved Cersei Lannister and her son, the capricious boy-king Joffrey, Sansa Stark remains their captive.

Meanwhile, across the ocean, Daenerys Stormborn, the last heir of the Dragon King, delivers death to the slave-trading cities of Astapor and Yunkai as she approaches Westeros with vengeance in her heart.

I am actually struggling with the words to describe how good this book is, along with part 1 of ASOS. Just when you think the events can't get more dramatic or brilliant, GRRM just pulls out another chapter of something even more spectacular. Having watched the tv series parallel to the books, without spoiling it I can say that series 4 will be quite possibly the best series of any tv show ever made as long as it does this book justice.

The book is fantastic - I don't doubt that aspect. However they're are many 'typos' within the Google play version. 'He' instead of 'she' incorrect spellings, punctuation and grammar also. Disappointment to be distracted by such simple flaws.

I'm sick how the loyal readers have taken a back seat to his celebrity. I doubt we will ever get the end b4 the old fart dies. Love the books hate what fame did to him.
