About the author

Yayu Indriati Arifin, born in Gorontalo City. Yayu holds a bachelor’s degree in Physic Education at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, master’s degree in Geophysics at Bandung Institute of Technology, and a doctorate in Geology at Ehime University, Japan. Yayu is a lecturer in Geological Engineering major, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo and as the Head of Study Center of Energy and Mineral Resources and Geopark. The main focus of her research is medical geology, geotourism, and rock magnetism. Yayu participated in a Post-doctoral program in Colorado University 2019. She participated in training program of making Thin Section in Ehime University 2010. She participated in Center for Development of Sustainable Region (CDSR) collaborate with 7 universities they are UGM the leader, Colorado University, UI, UNG, ITB, UMGO, UBB supported by USAID Indonesia 2017. She joined in international collaborative research in the field of eco-geotourism with the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, Kyoto, Japan and joined in geothermal scientific writing with lecturers at the Institute Technology of Petronas (ITP), Malaysia. Yayu awarded as the best presenter in The 23rd Symposium on Geo-Enviroments and Geo-Technics, 2013. Communication with her via email yayuarifin@ung.ac.id.
