He’s an ordinary person, yet he finds inspiration—and often a refreshing laugh—in unlikely places. Then, like millions of us, Rodney was hit with tragic news: a layoff notice and a diagnosis of cancer. Most of us don’t face these fears as a double whammy. Thank God, Rodney’s life is a relentless search for hope and humor. Throughout his career, Rodney has been a media innovator. He has worked in newsrooms nationwide, primarily as a photographer and photo editor. He also teaches other aspiring journalists in settings ranging from individual coaching to university classrooms. In his earlier book, A “Cute” Leukemia, Rodney turned his wit on his successful battle with cancer. In this new book, Rodney summons all of his media talents to bring hope in the face of the other widespread fear: job loss.
