First and foremost is terminology used in the book. It is very misleading to the public to call developments in Eastern Ukraine some kind of turmoil or crisis, much less, civil war. This is an external Russian invasion which is very similar to Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939 or USSR in 1941. The only difference is that Hitler's troops were never hiding their uniform and Hitler never denied the fact of German invasion as opposed to Putin and Russian troops either in Eastern Ukraine or Ukrainian Crimea, containing also small percentage of brainwashed locals. However, no one can deny that full military command of the military operation in Eastern Ukraine are carried out by Russian military chiefs of staff. What kind of "turmoil or crisis" are you talking about ? Vladimir Putin simply treats citizens of Ukraine very similar way the Nazi Germany leaders were treating Jews. The only difference is that Vladimir Putin is trying to hide the purpose of his military operation (complete economic destruction in Ukraine and annihilation or forced resettlement of citizens) in Ukraine behind such "good intentions" as military blackmailing Ukrainian government into providing" a special status to Donbas area in Eastern Ukraine" (without Ukraine have any control over its border in the area) and a full criminal pardon to pro-Russian or Russian troops who are fighting Ukrainian army in Eastern Ukraine.
