I'm reminded of how C.S. Lewis carefully concealed Christian allegory, by how this author lays on the theory ad nauseum. The book ends in a way to leave modern sensibilities craving, but mere pages before the end presents as gold. Reading dated literature has its merit, and the main body of work may excuse its dated social example.
