4.5 Stars I really love this series and this is the fourth book in the series. I gobbled up this book like the others. There is a little suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. I really loved Maddie and Nathan. I thought Maddie and Nathan were adorable together. Maddie has been waiting for the moment that Nathan would see her as more than his little sister's best friend. Maddie goes through a roller coasters of emotions and life in this one, but the end of this journey makes it all worth it. I also enjoyed seeing the previous characters in the series enjoying their HEAs. This is a must read! I really can't wait for Dylan's book.

I am so enjoying this series! The brothers' Burns are so dynamic and each has their own strengths and weaknesses. This is the story of Nathan and Maddie. Nathan is the pushy, no holds barred Burns brother. He wants things his way and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, even to his own detriment. He has known Maddie since childhood and has always seen her as a little sister, until one day he doesn't and boy do the sparks fly! Maddie has had a not-so-secret crush on Nathan since forever. When she finally realizes that Nathan will never see her any other way, she decides to move on. (Hint, she doesn't get far....) The chemistry between Maddie and Nathan is hotter than hot! And it was fantastic to see Maddie break out of her shell and embrace her inner goddess! I love how she stood up for herself. I also enjoyed how the Love Languages played a huge part of this story! This can be read as a stand alone and does wonderfully by itself. Do yourself a favor and read this whole series! I am so hoping for Dylan's story next!

Another great addition to the Burns Brothers! Maddie’s life was a mess and she’s just barely holding on. Add the fact that her friends are all in amazing relationships and living happy lives, had her confidence taking a beating. I appreciated that despite experiencing those lows, she stayed strong and kept plowing onwards. I was worried that Nathan’s sudden awareness of Maddie, after knowing her for years, would not be believable. That’s the biggest struggle I have with this trope. And while it was a rather sudden event for Nathan, everyone around him had seen it coming for a long time. And that sudden moment that might feel contrived, ended up being so wonderfully fun and smexy and got Nathan’s motor running in a way that everything else just fell away. There’s a lot going on in this story on every level of both Nathan’s and Maddie’s lives as well as together. At moments the angst ratchets up pretty high and I found myself teary eyed with a knot in my chest. This also has moments of humor and wit and all of it interwoven with passion that lit the pages up with a blistering heat.
