A new series, I sped through this one as I became caught up in the story and its cast of fabulous characters good and bad! The plot was interesting and held my attention, Its setting in an estate in Glasgow ruled by a mysterious character known as “The Undertaker” showcases the darker side of it with its gangs and drugs. Godden paints a realistic picture of upper and lower class and how they come together swirled in crime, secrets, lies and deceit. Diamond Gezzer is such and entertaining and enjoyable read. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and its outcome, WOW! Godden sure does knows how to pack a punch and I need the next book stat! Fingers crossed that the wait won’t be too long.
