Chris d'Lacey was originally a songwriter and musician, but started writing when a friend suggested he enter a writing competition. He has had over twenty books published now, one of which, Fly, Cherokee, Fly, was Highly Commended for the Carnegie Medal. Chris's dragon series for Orchard has achieved best-seller status across the titles already published.
