About the author
Jochen Golz, geb. 1942, ist seit 1999 Präsident der Goethe-Gesellschaft. Von 1994 bis 2007 war er Direktor des Goethe- und Schiller-Archivs. Er veröffentlichte zahlreich u.a. zu Goethe, Schiller, Jean Paul und zur Editionswissenschaft. Albert Meier, geboren 1952, ist seit 1995 Professor für Neuere deutsche Literatur an der Universität Kiel. Er gehört dem Vorstand der Internationalen Goethe-Gesellschaft an und ist Mitglied des Zentrums für Klassikforschung sowie der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Hamburg. Seine Forschungsinteressen konzentrieren sich zum einen auf die Ästhetik und Poetik der Goethezeit, zum anderen auf die literarischen Tendenzen der Gegenwart.
