I can only give it four stars. great stories and good start to what should be a good series. However, and i have had this "challenge" with Golden Angel books before. The author writes incredibly sexy scenes. However, she also has a few too many doms who continue forward with "backdoor" action with little or no preparation and who seem to so easily say (when told it hurts) "oh, you can take it." Very irritating! this happens in her victorian books and her modern age romance books.

This was a steamy tale full of wit and secrets. I enjoyed the interactions between Mary and Rex, their attraction being a strong one. I felt she complemented his personality and helped change how he saw those around him. The secondary characters were a lot of fun as well. There were moments that I felt were bogged down in repetitive description, but when it was flowing, it was hard to put down. I recommend this story, and I look forward to the next one. I received a copy of this story through Elle Wood Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

This is the first in a companion series to the Domestic Discipline series. They follow the niece of England's spymaster and her friends who are determined to help him protect the country by going under cover and doing their own spying. This book follows Mary as she tries to balance her second Season and her spying all while unexpectedly finding herself attracted to her target. There is plenty of intrigue and action as well as a romance all twined together in one.
