About this ebook

He was looking for love. She needed a defender. Together, they could have everything.

The death of Lady Cordelia’s husband left her at the mercy of his cruel heir, a distant cousin who makes her an offer she has to refuse. Desperate to escape a dishonorable fate - and protect her stepdaughter - she accepts the first honorable offer of marriage that she receives – the powerful and stern Marquess of Dunbury. She was prepared to be the perfect, placid, accommodating wife… she never expected the passion and sinful pleasure her new husband brought to their wedding night.

The Marquess of Dunbury was enamored of Lady Cordelia from the moment he met her and laid his claim immediately. Once she's his, he can't keep his hands off her, even when they risk being caught during secret rendezvous just outside the ton's ballrooms. He sees everything she doesn’t believe she is and he’s going to make her see herself the way he does.

Everything would be perfect... except for one person who is determined to ruin Cordelia's newfound happiness.

Good plot except for the actions and un the unreaistic portrayal of the sycopathic goon Phillip with his selfish and idiotic rules. He looked for needy victims , took full advantage and thought himself noble. I hope the number of people who view this as erotica will not fail to see the message to the number of sickos who will go forth and main and hurt those who think they deserve this treatment

4 Star Review Philip’s Rules (Bridal Discipline # 1) by Golden Angel Audio Review: Although historical novels are not normally a genre I read/listen too, I went in with an open mind. Both the author Golden Angel and narrator Brian Briar were knew to me. Cordelia is a sweet, submissive woman, lost and alone after the death of her husband. When Phillip asks her to marry him, she truly has no idea what she is getting into and the life that she would lead. I liked Phillips and could certainly see him swooping in to save Cordelia. Although Cordelia frustrated me at times and I was annoyed by the behaviour of Gabrielle, a spoilt brat who really needed to be taken in hand. This was a fairly spicy book to listen to and there were certainly some extremely hot scenes. There are some elements of BDSM and Phillip was definitively an alpha male. The secondary character of Felix was great and I am more than intrigued by him. All in all, a well narrated book that was certainly steamy.

Great story that combined a historical romance with lots of sexy scenes and enough suspense and emotions to keep you interested. The characters are well done and make you care what happens to them as well.
