I would give this book 5 stars but when I read do not want to have to use pen & paper to work out the storyline One Letter on a page I got sick of the story half way threw lost interest you would get to a good place then One Letter on a page made story hard to follow. DON'T PUT ONE LETTER ON ANY OF THE PAGES PLEASE ALL I WOULD HAVE READ YOUR BOOK.

Her Protector's Pleasure by Grace Callaway is an excellent historical romance. Ms. Callaway has provided readers with a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Marianne is a widow known for her scandalous behavior. Ambrose is a member of the Thames River Policemen and trying to support is family on the little he makes. Marianne and Ambrose's tale is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to reading more from Grace Callaway in the future. Her Protector's Pleasure is book 3 of the Mayhem In Mayfair Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

A wonderful mixture of mystery and romance, based in the setting of Olde England. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author has created charming characters who react with appropriate experiences and feelings. This makes the story much more enjoyable.
