Another fantastic installment in the Interstellar Bride Series. This is the third Atlan Warrior and I have to admit that Atlans are my favorites. This book has more story than $ex and I actually, like it better this way. Megan is from a military family and joined the Coalition to hopefully, finally make her mom proud of her but didn't expect it would happen. Two days away from the end of her 2 year enlistment and she has decided that she won't be returning to Earth and will instead become an Interstellar Bride and have a family of her own to love. Nyko is everything that makes the Atlans my favorites - he's big, protective, caring, and will die unless he finds his mate (OK - he won't die if he doesn't find a mate - he will be executed). Nyko has been having more and more trouble controlling his beast and will soon have to find a mate. Fate throws these two together during a conflict with the Hive and that's when things get interesting. The story leads us into the conflict with the Hive on a level that we have only seen in Mated to the Beast (Sarah and Dax's story). It gives us a glimpse into the magnitude of the fight that the Coalition is up against in fighting the Hive. In my personal opinion, it made for a much more interesting and absorbing story.
