About this eBook

"Don't scare me like that, Moguzo."

"Sorry, sorry."

Moguzo let out an embarrassed laugh and scratched the back of his head. Still, he sure is bleeding a lot, Haruhiro thought. With all that blood, it's impossible to tell what kind of face he's making. But, well, it looks like he's fine somehow.

Haruhiro and his party reached the end of one major battle. However, with there being some comrades they couldn't save, they couldn't be entirely happy with how things were. Meanwhile, because they managed to accomplish more than anyone had expected, some members of the party receive offers from other teams wanting to poach them, too. As Haruhiro agonizes over what to do as a leader, he is forced to come to grips with what the party wants to do once again.

The story of adventure born from the ashes now enters a new stage!

Book 4 explores grief again but this time they were more attached to the person who died and he's less replaceable. I like the new arrival, I dislike how he's being treated for most of the book as if he was supposed to be able to fill the dead person's boots nearly immediately despite being less experienced and having never been the central pillar of his previous party. It starts what is the doom of the books in terms of plot device and worldbuilding (or lack thereof).

Once again, Jyumonji-sensei just dials up the intensity even more. This time, Haruhiro and his group are in a new place, fighting all new enemies, and trying to mesh with yet another new party member. I guess you could say these are the party's growing pains following a major loss, which is somewhat reminiscent of when they recruited Merry. Seriously, Jyumonji-sensei is growing into this high-octane writing style quite spectacularly.
