About this eBook

On her deathbed, Kara Malone’s grandmother confessed a secret so strange, Kara’s logical, scientific mind filed it away as just another of the old woman’s fanciful tales. Until she opens her grandmother’s small cedar box. With one touch to the talisman she finds inside, she’s swept back in time to the Scottish Highlands. Nothing about this place is familiar. Except for the towering Highland warrior whose chiseled face, flowing back hair, and blazing blue eyes have haunted her dreams for years.

Alaxander MacLeod, determined to discover who is behind a series of deadly raids on clan land, can’t ignore the whispers and rumors surrounding Kara’s sudden appearance. But accusing her is not an option—because Kara has lived in his dreams since he was a wee lad.

The longer Kara lives with the MacLeods, the more she wonders if she could just secretly restore the talisman to its rightful clan, and stay in Alaxander’s arms forever. But the raiders’ attacks are intensifying. And when Kara is kidnapped, her last chance to make her own choice could slip through her fingers…

Time travel stories are always eye-cathing and on the top of TBR list of everyone which is why I have chosen it. I wasn'the disappointed. On the contrary. I loved the witty dialogue and the banter. The plot is good and the characters are interesting and believable. The historical background is very life-alike. But for the rather too slow paced main events, it would have been a five stars reading. There is potential though, and all in all, the book worth reading and I recommend it.

I love historical novels especially Scotland. If time travel is part of it I'm hooked. This was a fun fast read. So short it couldn't develop characters as Diana Gabaldon does but it was fun and worth my time.

Absolutely loved this one! Couldn't put it down! The ending was bittersweet, not expected. Have to confess, i shed a tear or two and it's been a long time since a book moved me to tears.
