Stevie is excited about a great new sport--polocrosse. When she learns that the Horse Wise Pony Club will be playing against her boyfriend's team, she's thrilled. Now she'll finally have the chance to show him what a good rider she is! Her best friends, Carole and Lisa, are enthusiastic about anything that has to do with horses, but they don't share Stevie's fierce drive to win. Bonnie Bryant is the author of nearly a hundred books about horses, including the Saddle Club series, Saddle Club Super Editions, and the Pony Tails series. She began writing the Saddle Club books in 1986. She had done some riding before that, but she intensified her studies and found herself learning right along with her characters, although she claims that Stevie, Carole, and Lisa are all much better riders than she is.
