The first edition of this book was written in 2011 based upon the latest W3C Candidate Recommendation of the HTML5 specification. That is to say, the unfinished specification. In fact, HTML5.0 was not finalised until the full W3C Recommendation was released on October 28, 2014. Some features were added and some lost during the interim period.
