I liked the plot of the story did find the book intriguing, Alice found herself in some awkward and challenging situations for being kept in the dark about her family history😕. But I did honestly find myself skipping lines when I found the text repeating the context but in a little different way at times??. That was the only draw back in MY opinion, I was guessing the "who did it"? Throughout the book I narrowed it down to 2 people..alot of drama, suspense,and mystery.. just Alice's character not knowing/being in the dark was off putting to me… HOWEVER Hades totally Rocked!!!😕😂😉 I received this as an ARC and leaving my honest opinion voluntarily.

This is a new to me author, and from what I can see from her author's page a new genre for her. I loved her writing style and I'm planning on looking into her other books. This is a clean, entertaining, paranormal, cozy mystery that has fun characters and a well written mystery. It's not a complicated plot, but it flows nicely and provided a wonderful weekend escape. Hades, the cat, is probably my favorite character, because he reminds me so much of my own cat. Honestly, I'd read the rest of the series for the cat alone.

Hades's Haunt is a very enjoyable read. Witches, reapers, and other magical beings. Plus, a delightful mystery to solve. An amazing cast of characters. Action and intrigue. Jo Buer serves up a great one! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
