About this ebook

The Snow Queen is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It is his longest story and is considered by many as his best work. First published in 1844, it has inspired many artists and many times has been retold in movies and animation. This edition features illustrations by T. Pym (the pseudonym of Clara Creed), a Victorian artist, whose sentimental style blends very well with the Andersen's tale. Although not widely known, the Pym's illustrations are among the best ones created for The Snow Queen.

While "Frozen" is such a joy to watch with likable characters, the OG story itself should be given praise because of it's uniqueness. VERY DIFFERENT from the Disney version, however, I recommend that everyone should check out the idea behind the movie. Hans Christian Anderson was a man beyond his time; I personally put his work on a scale that matches William Shakespeare.

This book is NOT Frozen. That movie was based off of the characters in this book. It should not be disliked because it is not like frozen. I think that's ridiculous. That's a very stupid way of looking at a great piece of literature. TV ruins people.

Interesting read, after seeing 'Frozen' was inspired to read. Does not disappoint, different from.the film, but the inspiration is recognisable and a very enjoyable read. Worth the price avant rate, if you enjoyed 'Frozen' read this, see where the idea came from.
