About the author

Jacqueline Jules is an award-winning author and poet. Her many children's books include The Hardest Word (National Jewish Book Award finalist), What a Way to Start the New Year! A Rosh Hashanah Story, and Moses and the Runaway Lamb. She lives in Long Island, New York.

Michelle Shapiro’s whimsical characters and beautiful colors have appeared in many publications around the country including The New York Times and the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. She is the illustrator of Rebecca's Journey Home, a Sydney Taylor Honor award winner. She lives with her family in Santa Barbara, CA.
