Ratings and reviews

It sounded intriguing and had potential, but it went overboard with how often the author kept emphasizing how old Barbara was. I suspect it was partially for entertainment and laughs, but it got old very fast. I was also then partially skeptical at how useful Barbara was with her old age. Otherwise, it was a quick-paced story and at least the plot didn't drag out like some books.

It's not a deep read or a particularly realistic mystery. I wouldn't call it a thriller by any stretch of the imagination, but the main characters are cute and it was a pleasant distraction.

A nice short fun read. The plot is simplistic but the main character is amusing and accuracy portrays the challenges of getting older physically and mentally. I liked it, she's feisty.
