Good ol' James Herbert. A name from my teens. Never disappoints. Catching up on a few I haven't read. This wasn't as scary as some of his others, but a good read nevertheless. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

A good read for all levels of horror fan. The setting was rich, the characters somewhat interesting, and the atmosphere was tense; but I can't help but feel the protagonist was a bit flat. Still, recommend it and will definitely read more Herbert, but hardly 'the master of horror' so far.

Really enjoyed this book. At times found myself hurrying thru the words to find out what happened next.

James Herbert was not just Britain’s number one bestselling writer of chiller fiction, a position he held ever since publication of his first novel, but was also one of our greatest popular novelists.
