About the author

Heather Bertinetti is the talented young pastry chef working her way through some of Manhattan’s most acclaimed restaurants. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America with a degree in baking and pastry arts, Heather joined Gramercy Tavern and, just two years later, Per Se. She then went on to open and receive rave reviews at Alto, Convivio, Marea, and Osteria Morini. Heather has been lauded by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and was named in Zagat's 2011 "30 under 30: New York's Hottest Up-and-Comers."

Carrie Morey, daughter of Callie White, founded Callie’s Charleston Biscuits in 2005 with the goal of making her mother’s delicious biscuits accessible across the country. Touted by the Today show, Saveur, Food & Wine, Southern Living, The New York Times, and Oprah, her biscuits and pimento cheese collection are sold at high-end retail stores all over the country. Chosen as one of Martha Stewart’s “Dreamers into Doers” in 2008, Carrie has been a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at the College of Charleston School of Business for more than five years.

Rachael Ray is a New York Times bestselling author of more than twenty cookbooks. She is the host of the Food Network’s 30 Minute Meals and Rachael Ray’s Kids Cook-Off, as well as the Cooking Channel’s and the Food Network’s Week in a Day. She is also the star of the syndicated talk show Rachael Ray; founder and editorial director of her own lifestyle magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray; and founder of the Yum-o! organization.

Kay Robertson is the revered matriarch of the Robertson family and star of A&E®’s Duck Dynasty®. For almost five decades, she’s been keeping Phil and her boys from spending too much time in the woods by bringing them back to civilization with a home cooked meal. Kay believes her cooking talents are a gift she must share, so she often ends up feeding all of the family and most of the neighborhood.

Jessica Seinfeld is the author of four previous cookbooks—all New York Times bestsellers—that have sold more than 1.4 million copies to date. She is founder and chair of the board of Good+Foundation, a leading national nonprofit that works to dismantle multi-generational poverty by pairing tangible goods with innovative services for low-income parents and caregivers, creating an upward trajectory for the whole family. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, comedian Jerry Seinfeld, and their three children.

Buddy Valastro is the star of TLC’s hit series Cake Boss and Next Great Baker and Food Network’s Buddy vs. Duff, as well as the author of four cookbooks, including the New York Times bestsellers Cake Boss and Baking with the Cake Boss. He is the owner of Carlo’s Bake Shop and lives with his wife and four children in New Jersey.
