‘A stunner! Without a doubt, one of the best crime novels of the year!’ – No.1 international bestseller Jeffery Deaver

In search of a new life, seventeen-year-old Adriana Clark’s family moves to the ancient, ocean-battered Isle of Mull, far off the coast of Scotland. Then she goes missing. Faced with hostile locals and indifferent police, her desperate parents turn to private investigator Sadie Levesque.

Sadie is the best at what she does. But when she finds Adriana’s body in a cliffside cave, a seaweed crown carefully arranged on her head, she knows she’s dealing with something she’s never encountered before.

The deeper she digs into the island’s secrets, the closer danger creeps – and the more urgent her quest to find the killer grows. Because what if Adriana is not the last girl to die?

Beautifully haunting with twists and turns you’ll never see coming, The Last Girl to Die is your next obsession waiting to happen. Perfect for fans of Stuart MacBride and L.J. Ross.

By far one of the best stories I have read. Characters, theme and the flow of the storyline flowed like the Scottish sea. Fields painted a clear picture of the setting. Despite never having crossed the seas from the US, I feel as if I know and have walked the island of Mull. Characters you can love and hate and love to hate. The change of narrators only added that extra wow factor leaving me with a chill in my bones. This book is why I love to read.

Set on the Isle of Mull off the coast of Scotland, where its history of legends and witchcraft add a fascinating element to a missing persons case, The Last Girl to Die is an outstanding read from beginning to end! It holds you captive like no other and is so addictive. When I had finished reading this book, I was left with one heck of a book hangover and was so completely shell shocked with its outcome. So much so, that it still plays around in my mind long after having read it.

I bought this from the horror section of the app, but have had more worrying farts. it's a well written 'A detective Bland novel' type book; if that's your thing, you'll love it
