Intense, suspenseful, on-the-edge of my seat, gripping. Brenda Novak has me tied in knots with the intensity that Hanover House brings as Evelyn works with psychopaths to help other victims and prevent more crimes. I love how Amarok has helped Evelyn become comfortable with herself again following her trauma. She is so intelligent and truly wants to help prevent more crimes like what she suffered. She comes up against some scary guys in her research which can keep you up at night. Factor in that Jasper is still out there and wants revenge on the woman that got away from his predilections and well, the intensity just ratchets up another level. I love Amarok and his drive to find Jasper to protect Evelyn. His patience with Evelyn is amazing and the beauty of this relationship for both of them is a wonderful positive caught up in all the craziness that Evelyn seems to have following her.

This is a fantastic addition to the series. It's the second full length book and I recommend that this series be read in order of publication beginning with Hanover House The prequel novella that started it all. Part romantic suspense, part thriller, this entire series will keep you on the edge of your seat. In this installment Evelyn is working with a new inmate Dr. Lyman Bishop. Known as the Zombie Maker. The further the case progresses and then when another murder occurs Evelyn begins to wonder if her own past is coming back to haunt her once again. This is an amazing series and one that I would recommend to everyone.

Hello Again is Book 2 of the Evelyn Talbot Chronicles and while it certainly could stand fine on its own, I do recommend starting with the prequel, Hanover House to be filled in on the entire back story of all that has happened leading up to this point. I've enjoyed everything Ms. Novak has ever written whether it be historical, contemporary or suspense, but nothing compares to this series. It has surpassed my highest expectations with her vivid and engaging writing style. This story drew me in right from the start and still hasn't let go. With every twist and turn Ms. Novak took, my nails got a little bit shorter and my heart pounded even harder. The climatic ending left me gasping for air and impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. This was certainly one of the best books (and series!) I've read to date.
