When it comes to Kiersten's books this one has jumped to the top as my favorite! I mean it starts off with such an intense panic by the character you are swept right in! With a captivating mix of spicy romance (not too much), mystery and suspense, this story will leave you feeling like your heart is pounding with anticipation. This book had plenty of unexpected surprises. There were a few out loud OMGs, lol, throughout the book. The clever writing of Kiersten's captures your attention and keeps you guessing as you try to unravel what the heck is going on with this house. Character wise, I fell in love with Tucker. Just his persona and the way he was with Maggie. Speaking of Maggie, I really felt bad for her and was rooting her on as she tried to make sense of the chaos around her. I mean the plot just kept escalating as Maggie was making startling discoveries and uncovering secrets that have long been hidden.

Twisted thriller that also superbly combines romantic suspense! Maggie is a vulnerable young woman who has just lost her mother and returned to her hometown, only to be faced with a past that will not stop haunting her. The plot twists are remarkably well-written and the characters are dynamic and realistically portrayed. I loved this book and I think it is my favorite multi-genre book ever! All opinions expressed are my own.

This novel makes you lose sleep because you cannot put it down. Two men who Maggie has loved. One is a childhood friend and the other she met later. She finally makes a choice, but discovers a betrayal and leaves the area, but returns years later. The book shows two timelines past and present. A number of twists and a conclusion that is unexpected.
