I am bit disappointed by the style and the many swearing words in this book. I thought it was going to be epic and amazing when I started reading the introduction and the mention of Mokele-Mbembe. I thought that moat of The Congo's wonderful mysteries were going to be either debated or deciphered in this book. instead, I mostly read angry narratives, insults and yes, people dying throughout the book. CONGO, A FORGOTTEN WORLD is such a great title.
