What does it take to become a hero in a family of mercs? Some comedy, a little heat, & a lot of action. Langlais serves this all up with a side of out of this world adventure. This novel has a well written flow that enhances the feel of the story. The unofficial guide to heroism was… well… Oh you’ll just have to read the story. I can’t put its pricelessness into words, especially not against the mercenary’s guide. I swear, every time Dyre opens his mouth he made me laugh. I love how he strives to be himself, even if it rarely turns out as expected. Betty’s unique mix of human and Zonian beliefs made her into quite the feisty damsel, even if she was always in distress. This novel is a fairy tale fantasy meets ignoble space alien in a comical and at times heated adventure through the galaxy. It was a blast to read.

This erotic alien romance is an out of this world read that tickles the reader. I found the world fascinating and entertaining and the characters fun and captivating. I was totally engrossed in this enjoyable alien romance from beginning to end and since I haven’t read the other ones yet, I’ll not only be doing that, but I will be looking for more in this series.
