HIRDAN KATARINA DE MEDEIROS COSTA is currently Visiting Researcher of the Human Resource Program (PRH)33.1 from National Agency of Petroleum Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Collaborating professor and advisor of the Graduate Program in Energy of the University of São Paulo (PPGE/USP). Lawyer OAB/SP. She has been working in the energy sector since 2004. Hirdan is a bachelor’s in law, her undergrad background is Petroleum Law from the University of Rio Grande do Norte. Moreover, she has a master’s degree in Energy from PPGE/USP and her research was focused on the Regulation of Natural Gas. She is Ph.D. in Energy and her work focused on the Oil Brazilian royalties’ system. This thesis was awarded the CAPES/VALE Prize in 2012. She is Post-Doctorate in Sustainability from the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH/USP), Post-Doctorate in Energy from PPGE/USP, Master of Law from Pontifical Catholic University, SP. She holds an L.L.M. from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA. She was Visiting Researcher at the University of Oklahoma College of Law (2008-2009). She was coordinator of Projects 21 and 42 from the Center for Gas Innovation (RCGI/FAPESP/Shell). E-mail: hirdan@usp.br.
