I found the character Blossom totally relatable. After such a painful experience being duped by a con man and subsequent breakup, it is extremely HARD to trust again, but Zach was perfectly patient while being doggedly determined. Understanding and patient men like that are rare, especially as he could have his pick of women. Although there was no steamy sex in this entire book, I found myself intrigued and not able to put it down until the end. It was a wonderfully romantic story.

Sometimes when you read a story like this one you want to grab a character by their shoulders, give them a shake and say 'wake up you fool and see what's right in front of you'. However with Blossom I felt compassion rather than annoyance, I wanted to hug the poor woman and tell her it would be alright. Also I loved Zak, he was the perfect guy for her. Patient, compassionate, but determined not to let her fears stand in the way of true love. The ending was perfect. I find sometimes stories can end to quickly, but I loved the ending on this one. A great happily ever after that left no doubt that their love was forever.

About the author

Helen Brooks began writing in 1990 as she approached her 40th birthday! She realized her two teenage ambitions (writing a novel and learning to drive) had been lost amid babies and hectic family life, so set about resurrecting them. In her spare time she enjoys sitting in her wonderfully therapeutic, rambling old garden in the sun with a glass of red wine (under the guise of resting while thinking of course). Helen lives in Northampton, England with her husband and family.
